Works For Me Wednesday

Following the advice of Crystal, at Money Saving Mom and Monica, at the Homespun Heart, I have been learning week by week how to shop at CVS and Walgreens. I realized on Monday that I am stocked up on toothpaste, cotton swabs, toilet paper, cold medicine, antacids and dish washing soap. None of these items has cost me more than .50. The value of this all dawned on me when my youngest daughter was complaining of cold symptoms on Monday morning. Instead of running to Wal-mart and paying anywhere from $3.00 - $5.00 for a box of cold remedy, I went to my cupboard, which has been stocked and ready for such an incident.

It takes time though. I'm still fairly new at learning how to really work the coupons and such. Each week gets easier though and it's turning into a really fun game!!

I love a good deal! And nothing makes hubs happier than being "stocked up" so I'll have to look into this.
