My neice, Anna, sent me this ornament a few years after we moved to Kansas. It's a little wooden sled, painted green witha nice big snowman sticker on the front. I love this little ornament. I think of Anna every year when I put this on our tree.

When Cliff and I got married, we moved to Jacksonville, FL where he was stationed in the Navy. Cliff's Aunt Doris lived there and had a huge ceramics studio in her garage. She invited me to come spend a day there making some ceramics. I made several Christmas things, two of which were these ornaments. As you can see, some 23 years later, the little mice in the stocking have lost their toe. I don't care. I position them behind a branch where the missing toe won't show. These are some of the very few things I have left from those very first days of my marriage.

Hi Rebecca :) I just love Christmas - everything about it - and enjoyed seeing your ornaments. We save the stories of ours, too, on little papers packed with the ornament. Blessings! Q
What sweet ornaments, and sweet memories. I love how children make things for us. And the broken toe on the mouse adds a bit of character. ;) You did a great job at making them and painting them also. Thanks for sharing. :)
How cute the mice are. I have an ornament of a mouse in a hot air balloon that was given to us when we owned our balloon. It is a very special one to us.
