What a blessing to go to the Lord's house today. My soul was blessed and nourished as I was ministered to through songs of praise, community, and the Word. How incredible it is that even though we have heavy hearts, God is so close and very present. A missionary couple who minister in Iraq and China shared their ministry with us today. They are an awesome couple. Their presentation is grounded in the Word and so relevant to what's going on in the world today...especially Iraq. Please remember Chuck & Helen Todd as well as other men and women who give their lives to minister through missions around the globe.
I've heard no news today of my grandma. A couple years ago, she cleaned out her jewelry box and gave a couple pieces to my mom. I received a pearl necklace. That necklace is one of my treasures. I wore it to church today. I just wanted to be close to my grandma in some small way.

We were at a Christmas party at Plains Baptist Church in Lincoln, NE. last night and expected to see your mom and dad there. We were sad to hear the news about your grandma.
