I have decided to do a series of posts about my scrapbooks. Most of you who know me, know I enjoy scrapbooking. If you were to come over, I'd love to show them to you. Since we can't get together, I thought I'd share them through my blog. I decided to start with Works For Me Wednesday hosted by Rocks In My Dryer.
For years I had stored the kid's school papers and artwork in large shoeboxes. Over time, the boxes began to wear out. In the meantime, I began scrapbooking and needed to get these papers more organized. One evening the kids and I sat and sorted through all their papers and put them in order by grades. I bought 4 of these plastic file boxes (one per kid) and folders and everything is filed by grade. It has forced me to keep only the most special things because I don't want to get beyond one box per kid.
To date, I have finished grade school albums for 2 of my kids, and a high school album. It was so nice to have all the memorabilia ready to go. I scanned most of the larger pieces and printed them for the albums. I have kept the originals for the kids to take with them to their homes someday.

This is such a great idea, Rebecca! I keep all of my scrapbook papers in a big plastic bin and it's awful trying to find what I need. I have several organizers like yours and will have to fill them up, thank you for the tip!

Kelli

What a great idea! I have a stack of my son's work in my office that I didn't know what to do with. Thanks!
I have seen Rebecca's scrapbook pages and they are awesome. She puts so much love and thought in to each page. Very special memories for whoever the page or book is for.
