Unique Snowflakes

We have had our fair share of snow already this winter. This past week, we had two days of flurries and the snowflakes were so opposite! The first flurries came down in beautiful, perfect, crystal snowflakes. I managed to photograph them using dark fabric and a super macro setting on the camera.
The second day of flurries brought this spike shaped snowflakes. I've never seen anything like them before. I think they are attributed to the fact that we had freezing weather and extremely dense fog. They settled on the trees and everything looks frosty. Up close, they were amazing how they formed.
